A proud tradition returns to the Ongar Town Festival, bringing the excitement of top-level pétanque to our community! Starting at 10am

A bit of history: The Ongar Town Festival started 2018, thanks to the incredible vision of Carolyn Index, Chair of the Ongar Pétanque Club

Whether you’re a pétanque pro or just curious to watch, come along and be part of this fantastic community tradition!
You will find Military Vehicles, a reinactment group and the Essex Yeomanry Band at the Pleasence Car Park.

Tow Mater & Lightening McQueen are gracing us again on our High Street for those Disney Car lovers!
Epping and Ongar Railway
They mark the 160th anniversary of the opening of the railway line from Loughton to Ongar 3rd and 4th May. Their regular steam and diesel hauled heritage trains will be running, together with our vintage London buses providing connections to Epping Underground station (Central Line, zone 6).
They will have additional short rides in our Guards brake van using one of our shunting locomotives, additional short bus rides (Sunday only) together with vehicle displays and more!
High Street VEDAY80 Parade
Starts at Epping and Ongar Railway Station and goes through the High Street includes a The Essex Caledonian Pipe Band, Military Vehicles and School children from 3.30pm
