What's Being Discussed?
Three Major Development Proposals
1. Land to the West of Ongar – 85 New Dwellings - EPF/2446/25
An outline planning application for up to 85 new homes on allocated land west of Ongar. This includes parking, landscaping, drainage, and associated infrastructure. The EFDC deadline is 29 January 2026.
2. Fyfield Business Park Site 1 – Mixed-Use Redevelopment (Phase 1) - EPF/2427/25
A significant redevelopment proposal for Site 1 featuring:
- Retention of the listed stable block
- Up to 47 residential dwellings
- Up to 275 sqm of commercial space (retail, surgery, or pub)
- New car parking, landscaping, and green space
EFDC deadline: 29 January 2026.
3. Fyfield Business Park Site 2 – Mixed-Use Redevelopment (Phase 2) - EPF/2429/25
Phase 2 of the Fyfield Business Park redevelopment includes:
- Up to 31 residential dwellings
- Associated car parking, landscaping, and green space
EFDC deadline: 29 January 2026.
