Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) – Understanding and Support
January 12 @ 8:00 pm - 8:30 pm
£5
As the days grow shorter and the evenings draw in, many of us notice a shift in our mood and energy. If you find yourself feeling low, tired, or a little out of sorts during the winter months, you’re not alone. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) affects a significant number of people in our community, but support and understanding are within reach.
Join us for a gentle, welcoming evening dedicated to shedding light on SAD and exploring practical, holistic ways to nurture your mental wellbeing through winter. Led by Angie at The Heart of Holistic, this relaxed talk will cover:
- What is Seasonal Affective Disorder, and why does it happen?
- Recognising the signs and symptoms in yourself or loved ones
- Simple lifestyle adjustments and natural self-care practices that can make a real difference
- Tips for building emotional resilience and staying connected during the darker months
- Local resources and where to find further support
Whether you’ve experienced SAD personally or simply want to learn more to support friends and family, everyone is welcome. Expect a supportive space, gentle conversation, and plenty of practical ideas to help you feel brighter this winter.
