🎄 Why We're Raising Money for Ongar Christmas Lights

We're incredibly proud to be supporting Ongar Christmas Lights & Festival, an event that means so much to our town and community.

But did you know just how much work, fundraising and planning goes into making it happen?

This year, the Christmas Lights organisers need to raise £15,000 to help deliver a safe, successful and magical festive celebration for Ongar.

With just £4,000 in council funding, the organisers rely heavily on the generosity of local businesses, sponsors, fundraising events and the wonderful people of Ongar to make up the difference.

And that's exactly why we wanted to get involved!

❤️ It's About More Than Christmas Lights

Ongar Christmas Lights & Festival isn't just about one magical day in November.

It's about bringing our community together, putting smiles on faces, creating wonderful memories and, importantly, bringing much-needed footfall to our High Street.

Thousands of people visit Ongar to enjoy the festive celebrations, and the lights continue to attract visitors throughout December.

That means more people discovering our lovely independent shops, enjoying our pubs and restaurants, and supporting the local businesses that make Ongar such a special place.

We know how challenging things can be for small businesses, and we believe that when a community comes together to support one another, fantastic things can happen.

So when you buy a ticket for the FRESH EXPRESS, you're doing more than booking a great night out. You're helping us support our town, our High Street and a wonderful community tradition.

And we think that's something worth celebrating! ❤️

❤️ Can't Join Us? You Can Still Help Light Up Ongar!

We'd absolutely love to have you aboard, but if you can't make it, you can still support this fantastic cause.

The Ongar Christmas Lights team has launched a Crowdfunder to help reach their fundraising target.

Even a donation of just £5 can make a real difference.

Imagine if everyone who enjoys the free Christmas celebrations contributed just a little towards making them happen. Together, we could help make the event sustainable for years to come.

🎄 DONATE DIRECTLY TO THE ONGAR CHRISTMAS LIGHTS CROWDFUNDER:

Every contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated.

Local businesses interested in becoming an event sponsor can also get involved by contacting the Christmas Lights organisers.
