Real Ale Train on The Epping Ongar Railway

Looking for a unique evening out in Essex? Step aboard one of our Evening Real Ale Trains and enjoy a relaxed journey through the beautiful Essex countryside, complete with a selection of local real ales

Running on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September (from 16.45), our special Real Ale trains offer a memorable way to unwind with friends, family, or a partner. As the scenery rolls by, you can sit back with a drink from our onboard bar and enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional railway evening.

What you get

Your ticket includes unlimited travel on our evening services from 16:45, so you are free to hop on and off or simply settle in for the full journey. Our onboard bar is stocked with a variety of locally sourced draught real ales, alongside soft drinks and light snacks, making this one of the most enjoyable and relaxed things to do in Essex at night.

To make it extra special you can enjoy a ‘take away’ Friday night curry from our Delhi Diner or Saturday evening Fish and Chips (both on the 7pm train).  You can buy these online along with your real ale tickets
