A Beautiful 18-Hole Essex Golf Course
Toot Hill is an established 18-hole, par-70 parkland course measuring 6,254 yards. Construction began in 1989, with the course officially opening for play in September 1991. Mature trees and carefully maintained surroundings give it the character and atmosphere of a much older course.
The undulating landscape, strategically positioned bunkers and various water hazards create an enjoyable challenge for golfers at every level.
One of the course’s most memorable features is its spectacular par-three 12th hole, complete with an island green. It is the type of hole that can produce a moment of golfing glory—or leave you reaching for another ball!

Designed for players of all abilities, the range offers clear yardage markers, quality range balls and a relaxed environment where golfers can work on their distance, accuracy and technique.
There is no membership requirement and no need to reserve a bay. Golfers can simply arrive, choose their bucket size and practise at their own pace. It is ideal for beginners developing their swing, regular players working on a particular part of their game or anyone warming up before heading onto the course.
Professional Golf Coaching

Toot Hill’s PGA professionals provide coaching that can be tailored around each golfer’s experience, ability and goals.
Head PGA Professional Mark Bishop has been based at Toot Hill for more than 25 years. His coaching can cover putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, iron shots, driving and on-course playing lessons. The Pro Shop also stocks equipment and clothing from leading golf brands and provides a club regripping service.
PGA Professional Bobby Keeble brings experience from a successful amateur career, which included representing England, before turning professional and competing on the EuroPro Tour. His lessons can include technical coaching as well as mental performance and course management.

The Pantry is open to guests from 7.30am and serves freshly prepared breakfast and lunch, making it a convenient place to meet before a round or relax once the final putt has dropped. Draft beers are also available for those looking to enjoy a well-earned drink afterwards.
It also means visitors do not necessarily need to be golfers to enjoy the friendly surroundings and hospitality available at Toot Hill.
Modern Indian Fine Dining at Tanishq
Located within the Toot Hill grounds, Tanishq offers a modern Indian fine-dining experience and provides another way to complete a visit to the club.
The bar opens from midday, with the restaurant opening for dinner from 5pm. Its refined setting makes it suitable for an evening meal, special occasion or an indulgent end to a day of golf.
